Santa Clarita - Santa Clarita Skate & BMX Park
In 1998, the City of Santa Clarita built it's first skate park which was well received and gained the respect of skaters of all levels, from beginners to professionals. Community skaters and BMX cyclists enjoyed showing off their slick moves at the popular 12,000 square foot facility for ten years. On November 17, the "old" skate park hosted it's final set of wheels and skaters in preparation of the highly anticipated 40,000 square-foot new Santa Clarita Skate Park. The City of Santa Clarita invested approximately $1.5 million to build the new skate park located at the City's Sports Complex in the Canyon Country Area. The City's new state-of-the-art skate park, already being touted as one of the best skate park destinations, features large Bowls, a Street Plaza, Half-Pipe Tunnel, Snake Runs, Skateable Planters and much more!
