SITE conducted several meetings withthe community as well as several design workshops with the skate park focus group. The meetings provided general consensus regarding design direction and resulted in a final skate park design that consists of both transitional as well as street terrain, thus accomodating both styles of riders in the Commerce City area. In the transition area, SITE created a “sky lit capsule” that had an opening at the top of the capsule with over-vert walls. In addition to conceptual and schematic design, SITE performed design development and prepared construction documents for the project.
