PITTSBURG, Ks - Bicycle enthusiasts worked to remove obstacles from a riding trail on Sunday.
Tailwind cyclists owner Roger Lomshek and his son who is earning an Eagle Scout Badge, invited riders to come help clear brush and dead trees that grow into trails at the 23rd street bike park.
They've removed dead trees, branches, vines, and poison ivy. Lomshek said, “Since we've begun cleaning it, we've seen tons of people start using it. Just coming out walking with their dog or moms and dads and grandparents with their kids and just people riding their bikes too having a great time.”
They'll hold more work days for the next six weeks and could use your help. Check the Tailwinds cyclists facebook page for dates and times.
